Business Analyst

Sybilla Technologies designs builds and operates robotic optical observatories for monitoring objects in space. The company specializes in the complete systems, software for automated data acquisition, analysis, and scheduling of networks of sensors. We work in the domains of Space Situational Awareness, Space Surveillance and Tracking, Space Traffic Management, Near Earth Objects, stellar and planetary research, education, and commercial on-demand observations.

Your Responibilities

  • Managing requirements by removing, adding, updating, and merging them. 
  • Writing use cases, test cases, and verification scenarios. 
  • Executing and supervise acceptance tests and verification/validation tests. 
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to elicit software project needs and objectives. 
  • Analysing business processes to create detailed documentation, including specifications and user stories. 
  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications for developers. 
  • Facilitating communication between technical and non-technical team members. 
  • Coordinating User Acceptance Testing efforts with end-users. 
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements. 
  • Working within Agile frameworks, participating in sprint planning and backlog grooming. 
  • Identifying and mitigate project risks. 
  • Providing training and documentation to end-users for new systems or features. 
  • Implementing software solutions and design technical infrastructure. 
  • Managing day-to-day project tasks and make final decisions on technology stack. 
  • Designing user interfaces and configure hardware components. 
  • Fine-tuning software performance to meet project requirements. 

Requirements

  • 3+ years as a Business Analyst in software engineering or System Engineer in a related field   
  • Passion for space, good knowledge of the market, products and its needs.  
  • Pragmatic approach to balancing process and flexibility in achieving objectives.   
  • Higher education in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Engineering, Business Analysis, or STEM (Master degree or PhD).  
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).  
  • Proficiency in analysing and documenting technical requirements.  
  • Familiarity with programming languages, database concepts, and software design principles.  
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into understandable business language.  
  • Proactive and self-motivated approach to learning and professional development. 

Nice to Have

  • C# or Python programming experience  
  • Good knowledge of SQL  
  • Experience with requirements management software  

Terms of employment

  • Remote employment model (the office is in Bydgoszcz/Zielonka).
