Senior Accounting Specialist

Join our team as a Senior Accounting Specialist at Sybilla Technologies, based in Bydgoszcz/Zielonka, and play a crucial role in managing our financial processes. About Sybilla Technologies

Sybilla Technologies designs builds and operates robotic optical observatories for monitoring objects in space. The company specializes in the complete systems, software for automated data acquisition, analysis, and scheduling of networks of sensors. We work in the domains of Space Situational Awareness, Space Surveillance and Tracking, Space Traffic Management, Near Earth Objects, stellar and planetary research, education, and commercial on-demand observations.

Your Responibilities

  • Independent management of full accounting or cooperation with an external accounting office.
  • Tax settlements: VAT, CIT, ICS (Intra-Community Acquisition of Goods), IES (Intra-Community Supply of Goods), WHT (withholding tax).
  • Review and analysis of payroll documents, social security (ZUS), and employee capital plans (PPK) – without payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of fixed assets accounting, depreciation, and work-in-progress investments.
  • Handling of grants, including projects with co-financing and own contribution (e.g. NCBR, PARP, EU funds).
  • Cooperation in inventory and production document accounting.
  • Preparation of documentation for audits and inspections (including EU-funded projects).
  • Oversight of the accuracy of cost and sales documents.
  • Collaboration with operational, production, and technology departments.
  • Participation in the creation and improvement of accounting and control procedures.

Requirements

  • Higher education in a relevant field (accounting, finance, economics)
  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in independently managing accounting books
  • Experience working with limited liability companies, joint-stock companies, and manufacturing enterprises
  • Knowledge of the Accounting Act, VAT and CIT regulations, including intra-community transactions and import of services
  • Proficiency in Symfonia (modules: finance and accounting, trade, invoicing)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel),
  • Independence, good organizational skills, and the ability to think analytically,
  • Category B driver’s license,
  • English at a communicative level,
  • Willingness for occasional business trips between Bydgoszcz and Zielonka.Verood command of the English language in writing and speech (candidate should be able to read and write technical documentation).

  • Interest in Space industry or interest in space-related topics.    
  • Experience in a start-up environment.

  • Hybrid work model (Bydgoszcz/Zielonka) – occasional visits,
  • Salary: 11000 – 14000 PLN gross (employment contract, full-time),
