Sybilla Technologies designs builds and operates robotic optical observatories for monitoring objects in space. The company specializes in the complete systems, software for automated data acquisition, analysis, and scheduling of networks of sensors. We work in the domains of Space Situational Awareness, Space Surveillance and Tracking, Space Traffic Management, Near Earth Objects, stellar and planetary research, education, and commercial on-demand observations.

Your Responibilities

  • Leading and mentoring the Sensor Integration & Deployment (SID) team (3–10 members), ensuring effective collaboration with Sensor Network Operations, Commercial, Finance, Administration, and Software Engineering teams.
  • Maintaining hands-on involvement in the workshop, supporting troubleshooting, supervising assembly, and optimizing integration processes.
  • Managing the annual deployment of 50–100 sensors, while overseeing the maintenance of existing sensor infrastructure.
  • Being the roadmap for sensor integration owner, deployment, and maintenance, balancing innovation, operational efficiency, and cost control.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring sensor components are available and properly stocked for timely integration.
  • Support pre-sales efforts by providing technical expertise and evaluating the feasibility of deployment solutions.
  • Maintain regular communication with hosting partners, assist in remote troubleshooting, and provide guidance during maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate technical requirements into high-quality production outputs.
  • Set team goals, track performance metrics, and foster continuous professional development and skill growth.
  • Optimize resource allocation, ensure balanced task distribution, and provide technical direction to the team.
  • Drive innovation in sensor enclosures and control systems, ensuring compliance with environmental and operational standards.
  • Manage technical documentation and material selection for mechanical and mechatronic systems in line with industry and customer requirements.
  • Enforce best practices in safety, quality assurance, and integration procedures.
  • Supervise procurement planning and ensure timely execution of production schedules.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key subcontractors and suppliers (e.g. metalwork, carbon fiber, 3D printing, mechanical/electronic components) to ensure quality and reliability.

Requirements

  • 2 years of leadership experience, managing, motivating technical team and working with other departments in an engineering or industrial environment.
  • Very good time management and work coordination skills.
  • Higher technical education.
  • Leading discussions to define production goals, pre-sales analysis, technical requirements, and deliverables.
  • Knowledge of components integration processes, working with suppliers, subcontractors and the ability to optimize them.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken), B2 level.

Nice to Have

  • Interest in one or more areas: space, science, technology, leadership. 
  • Expertise in systems integration, mechanical design, and deployment of mechatronic systems. 
  • Knowledge of technical drawings and the fundamentals of machine design. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in sensor deployment. 
  • Analytical thinking and creativity in solving problems. 
  • SEP “E” Qualification Certificate. 
  • Knowledge of ISO standards.

Terms of employment

  • We offer office-based work with a team of engineers (Bydgoszcz and Zielonka near Bydgoszcz). 
  • Salary:  14000 – 18000 PLN gross on employment contract or 16500 – 21500 on B2B contract, depending on your experience and qualifications. 
  • The candidate will be offered compensation relative to his/her experience and skills.
