Sybilla Technologies designs builds and operates robotic optical observatories for monitoring objects in space. The company specializes in the complete systems, software for automated data acquisition, analysis, and scheduling of networks of sensors. We work in the domains of Space Situational Awareness, Space Surveillance and Tracking, Space Traffic Management, Near Earth Objects, stellar and planetary research, education, and commercial on-demand observations.

Your Responibilities

  • Design end-to-end architectures for military and dual-use systems, including both space-based and terrestrial components.
  • Translate high-level requirements into scalable, secure, and certifiable system designs.
  • Develop and maintain clear, reviewable architecture documentation to support transparency and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, compliance, and business teams to ensure architectural decisions align with overall mission objectives.
  • Support early-stage development efforts, including feasibility studies and proof-of-concept initiatives.
  • Identify architectural risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure system reliability and resilience.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant defense and space standards (e.g., NATO STANAG, MIL-STD, ESA dual-use requirements).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in system architecture, preferably in military, aerospace, or defense technology domains (experience in computer, transport, manufacturing, or energy industries also considered).
  • Strong knowledge of modular, scalable, and resilient system design principles.
  • Familiarity with secure systems design, handling classified documentation, and protection of sensitive architectures.
  • Solid understanding of secure communication protocols and dual-use systems.
  • Proven ability to produce clear, structured, and auditable documentation.
  • Proficiency in both English and Polish (written and spoken).
  • (Optional) Experience with NATO STANAG, MIL-STD, or ESA/NASA architecture standards.
  • (Optional) Active national security clearance (e.g., ABW/SKW or NATO/EU level).

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with government or public sector clients.
  • Familiarity with procurement and compliance processes in the defense or critical infrastructure sectors.

Terms of employment

  • Remote employment model (main office is in Bydgoszcz/Zielonka).
  • Salary: 190-230 PLN/hour (B2B) depending on your experience and qualifications.
