Configuration Management Engineer

The company specializes in the complete systems, software for automated data acquisition, analysis, and scheduling of networks of sensors. We work in the domains of Space Situational Awareness, Space Surveillance and Tracking, Space Traffic Management, Near Earth Objects, stellar and planetary research, education, and commercial on-demand observations.

Your Responibilities

  • Gathering and Analyzing Requirements: Collect and analyze requirements from stakeholders to define system architecture and design specifications. 
  • Project scope: monitor requirements status throughout the project, ensuring technical teams stay on track in requirements implementation; monitor stakeholders requests for changes to ensure that they remain within scope or that appropriate tradeoffs are agreed on.  
  • Testing and Validation: Oversee system/software testing and validation; organize and perform project reviews 
  • Operations and Maintenance:; create project deliverables templates and maintain the deliverables throughout the project’s execution until acceptance, create and maintain user manuals and SOPs. 
  • Project Management: Coordinate with cross-functional internal teams; coordinate external communication with subcontractors and/or other project beneficiaries and project coordinator to ensure the company’s inputs are delivered on time and with high quality. 
  • Tendering: participate in preparation of proposals in response to requests for tender (RFT) or requests for proposal (RFP) from potential clients or customers. 
  • Innovation and Improvement: Stay updated with technological advancements;. Contribute to the definition and monitoring of processes in software/hardware project management, including the suggestion and implementation of best practices. 

Requirements

  • Higher degree in engineering in STEM.  
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering.  
  • Experience in similar role, especially in Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or related sector.  
  • Excellent communication skills (required to work in a).  
  • Excellent reporting skills (for documentation, keeping track of changes, etc.).  
  • Good knowledge of Requirements Engineering.  
  • Good knowledge of system integration, verification and validation procedures (TBD).  
  • Fluent in English, both in speech and writing.  

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Space industry or interest in space-related topics. 

Terms of employment

  • Remote employment model (Bydgoszcz/Zielonka) – occasional visits. 
  • Salary: 13000 – 16500 PLN/employment contract or 16000-19000 B2B depending on your experience and qualifications.
