About Sybilla Technologies

Sybilla Technologies designs builds and operates robotic optical observatories for monitoring objects in space. The company specializes in the complete systems, software for automated data acquisition, analysis, and scheduling of networks of sensors. We work in the domains of Space Situational Awareness, Space Surveillance and Tracking, Space Traffic Management, Near Earth Objects, stellar and planetary research, education, and commercial on-demand observations.

Your Responibilities

  • Implementing company strategy within the scope of internal, external and grant-funded projects.
  • Managing implementation projects for software and hardware solutions.
  • Overseeing operational projects to deliver data and analyses to customers.
  • Defining project scope with stakeholders and monitoring and controlling the scope throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Managing project schedules, risks, budgets, and quality.
  • Developing and creating comprehensive project documentation.
  • Evaluating potential projects and creating project proposals in collaboration with technical experts.
  • Coordinating activities of internal teams (e.g., Software Engineers, Observers, Data Analysts, Designers, Researchers, Platform Operators) and external teams (e.g., subcontractors, suppliers).
  • Identifying necessary resources and developing schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Preparing progress reports and supporting project information management processes.
  • Setting priorities and managing time effectively.
  • Diagnosing and addressing project challenges, including change management.
  • Directly influencing teams such as Software Engineering and Sensor Network Operations by sharing responsibility for results and collaborating on planning, budgeting, and process development.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in a Project Manager role, ideally in the specialized IT or STEM sector.
  • Experience in managing projects related to R&D, grants, and technology development (especially those within TRL 3+).
  • MSc or PhD degree.
  • Fluent Polish and English in speech and writing (strong communication skills).
  • Technical Writer skills.
  • Agile (or other) project management experience.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute implementation and operational projects (applicants with specific examples preferred).
  • Experience in managing long-term relationships with strategic partners.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a fast-paced -environment.
  • Experience with commercial projects.
  • Familiarity with hardware-software systems working in global and/or remote environments.
  • Familiarity with the astronomy / optical observations of the night sky.

Terms of employment

  • Employment will be delivered in a remote or hybrid model (main office in Bydgoszcz, Poland). 
  • Ability to travel to remote sites (on a need basis) and to headquarters (once per quarter). 
  • Salary: 11000 – 14000 PLN/employment contract or 13000-17000 B2B depending on your experience and qualifications.The candidate will have a specialist assigned as mentor during initial weeks of employment.
