Head of Business Development

We are seeking a dynamic individual with B2G and B2B relations experience for a Head of Business Development position to lead our business development and strategic marketing efforts. The candidate will be responsible for building a strong sales and marketing team, defining and understanding global markets, and driving our internationalization strategy.

Sybilla Technologies designs builds and operates robotic optical observatories for monitoring objects in space. The company specializes in the complete systems, software for automated data acquisition, analysis, and scheduling of networks of sensors. We work in the domains of Space Situational Awareness, Space Surveillance and Tracking, Space Traffic Management, Near Earth Objects, stellar and planetary research, education, and commercial on-demand observations.

Your Responibilities

  • Developing and executing sales and marketing plans for B2B and B2G innovative markets. 
  • Navigating emerging value networks. 
  • Driving EU market growth and global expansion into international markets. 
  • Negotiating, completing and overseeing strategic partnerships and high-value deals and sales projects. 
  • Building and maintaining global sales network, including relations with key customers and stakeholders.  
  • Maintaining a high-quality CRM system. 
  • Developing and managing the strategies, processes, and tools including sales funnel and optimizing existing opportunities while fostering new relationships. 
  • Building the structured Business Intelligence and utilizing insights from market research to inform product positioning, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans,  
  • Identifying and analyzing the company’s data, global market trends and opportunities, assessing their potential, and prioritizing efforts based on the company’s strategic goals. 
  • Developing the marketing / brand / communication / PR strategies, implementing, monitoring, reporting and adjusting the effectiveness of those. 
  • Building and managing a strong sales and marketing team. 
  • Collaborating with product teams to align offerings with market needs. 
  • Developing and driving company price policies, price lists, offer standards and other revenue optimization tools. 
  • Providing regular updates to the executive team on market trends, strategic initiatives, and business performance. 

Requirements

  • Passion for space and pioneering new markets. 
  • Proven track record of at least 3 years in B2B and B2G sales or business development, preferably in the technology industry.  
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in STEM, marketing, business administration, or a related field.  
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in building and managing relations.  
  • Excellent understanding of EU markets and international business.  
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans.  
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken), C1 level or higher.  
  • Ability to travel as needed.  

Nice to Have

  • Background in engineering/software.  
  • Experience working for companies in the space sector or related industries 
  • Experience with new markets and agnostic marketing.  
  • Experience with startup companies.  
  • Additional languages.  

Terms of employment

  • Employment will be delivered in a remote/hybrid model (main office in Bydgoszcz, Poland). 
  • Salary: 6000 – 8000 EUR on B2B contract, depending on country of residence, experience and qualifications. 
  • Success fee compensation package 
  • Participation in the ESOP plan which will be starting at the end of 2025. 
  • This position is subject to B2B contract.
