Sybilla Technologies designs builds and operates robotic optical observatories for monitoring objects in space. The company specializes in the complete systems, software for automated data acquisition, analysis, and scheduling of networks of sensors. We work in the domains of Space Situational Awareness, Space Surveillance and Tracking, Space Traffic Management, Near Earth Objects, stellar and planetary research, education, and commercial on-demand observations.

Your Responibilities

Designing, building, testing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines: ensuring smooth code integration, testing, and seamless deployment.

Software engineering in terms of availability, scalability, security and release management of own platform (software services, processing, control and storage IT infrastructure).

Responding swiftly to platform incidents: troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and implementing fixes.

Maintaining high availability, performance of services, databases, control, processing computers and servers via IT and software expertise, solutions.

Writing technical documentation – operational manuals, FAQs, checklists, procedures.

Safety and security of the IT infrastructure.

Constant learning in terms of operational excellence.

The role may require (optional) travel to remote sites to install, fix or upgrade IT infrastructure.

On duty weekends (one weekend per month, two days free during the month).

Management of the IT tickets (prioritization, assignment, clarification, closing).

Requirements

Higher education in information technology, computer science, IT systems management, STEM or other related fields (at least bachelor’s degree).

3 years of experience in designing, building, testing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

3 years of C# programming involving SQL databases and services.

3 years of PowerShell scripting.

3 years working with Windows desktop and server systems.

3 years working with Docker.

In-depth knowledge of computer systems.

Ability to diagnose complex platform (software and IT) problems.

Problem solving skills.

Very good command of English language in writing and speech (candidate should be able to read and write technical documentation).

Good communication skills.

Nice to Have

Tester’s experience.

Track record on supporting software platforms.

Experience with PostgreSQL.

Experience with Grafana.

Experience with Kubernetes.

Experience with Azure (Active Directory, code building pipelines).

Experience with updates of global distributed, remote systems (limited bandwidth and network stability).

Terms of employment

Remote employment model (Bydgoszcz/Zielonka) – occasional visits.

Salary: 14000 – 18000 PLN on employment contract or 16700 – 21500 on B2B contract, depending on your experience and qualifications
