Head of International Accounting, Tax and Statutory Reporting

We are looking for a Head of International Accounting, Tax and Statutory Reporting to lead and structure our financial operations in a fast-scaling space technology organization. In this role, you will ensure compliance, accuracy, and scalability of accounting and tax processes, supporting the company’s dynamic growth and international expansion. 

Your responibilities

  • Overseeing of preparation and reconciliation of tax settlements (including intra-EU transactions, import/export of services), monthly accounting records including payroll and reporting, month / year closure and statutory reporting, including consolidation. 
  • Design and governance of accounting, reporting and tax tools and polices including international operations. Oversee their deployment in organization.  
  • Support design and overseeing implementation of ERP and automation of financial and accounting processes.
  • Design and managing international organization of accounting and tax resources and processes.
  • Overseeing and governance of grants documentation, reconciliation, reporting and audit, as well as other accounting procedures including transfer pricing etc. 
  • Overseeing audit and due diligence procedures, supporting contracting and M&A activities. 
  • Overseeing and managing external accounting providers and tax authorities. 
  • Supporting ongoing financial operations related to cost control, compliance, and reporting. 
  • Customization of financial processes to the need for a fast scaling-up tech start-up. 

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, relevant qualifications. 
  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in management of accounting, tax and statutory reporting and Chief Accountant role. 
  • Proven success in building accounting, tax and statutory reporting functions in the company. 
  • Hands-on knowledge of accounting, tax and statutory reporting. 
  • Experience in preparing documentation for audits, accounting offices, public institutions.
  • Solid knowledge of Polish tax law.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills. 
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

  • Compensation: PLN 32,000 – 37,000 gross on employment contract (UoP) or PLN 280/h on B2B contract depending on skills and experience.
