Sybilla Technologies designs builds and operates robotic optical observatories for monitoring objects in space. The company specializes in the complete systems, software for automated data acquisition, analysis, and scheduling of networks of sensors. We work in the domains of Space Situational Awareness, Space Surveillance and Tracking, Space Traffic Management, Near Earth Objects, stellar and planetary research, education, and commercial on-demand observations.

We are looking for a highly productive, businessoriented Legal Counsel / Attorney who can independently manage all Legal matters in a fastgrowing international environment. This person will handle everything from strategic contract negotiations to simple administrative legal tasks, while laying the foundations for a future Legal department. 
The ideal candidate is pragmatic, fast, wellorganized, and comfortable working across jurisdictions, topics, and complexity levels. 

This role is designed to evolve into Head of Legal as the company scales. 

Your Responibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (including international contracts), NDAs, MSAs, licensing, partnership, and technology-related agreements.

Ensure efficient contract turnaround (SLA: 24–48 hours for standard matters).

Build and maintain a library of contract templates and legal checklists.

Support the company’s participation in international public procurement processes (EU, US, and other markets).

Identify and collaborate with external partners or legal counsel for global tenders when needed.

Ensure compliance with public procurement regulations and related risks.

Handle day-to-day legal matters, from complex negotiations to administrative tasks (e.g., corporate documents, powers of attorney, filings).

Develop and maintain Legal, Compliance, and Governance policies.

Support compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 14001).

Oversee corporate governance and GDPR Compliance.

Advise management on legal risks, liability exposure, and the implications of business decisions.

Conduct risk assessments for new markets, products, and partnerships.

Monitor changes in international regulations relevant to the business.

Design a 12–24 month roadmap for building the Legal function.

Develop and document scalable processes and workflows.

Prepare to take on a future Head of Legal role and build a legal team.

Requirements

5–8+ years of post-qualification legal experience.

Strong track record in drafting and negotiating international contracts.

Experience in technology-driven and/or regulated industries.

Experience working with or alongside procurement frameworks (public or private).

High productivity, strong execution, and excellent time management.

Ability to manage a wide range of tasks — from complex strategic matters to routine administrative work.

Strong negotiation skills combined with a commercial mindset.

Ability to communicate legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.

Process-oriented, with a strong focus on documentation and structure.

High standards of ethics, ownership, and confidentiality.

Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset.

Independent and comfortable owning the full Legal scope.

Fast learner, able to navigate unfamiliar jurisdictions.

Leadership mindset with the potential to build and scale a Legal function.

Nice to Have

Experience with space sector legal frameworks (ESA/NASA).

Regulatory experience (GDPR, export controls, dual-use regulations).

Corporate governance or compliance certifications.

Experience in startup or scale-up environments.

Terms of employment

Full-time, Job contract or B2B contract.

Rate: 14 000 - 18 000 PLN or 120-150 PLN net / hour (market level, depends on seniority and real skill set).

Flexible working time, hybrid model (mainly remote, Bydgoszcz / Zielonka occasional visits / when needed).
