Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual)

We are looking for an experienced Manual Software Quality Assurance Engineer who takes ownership of functional quality and approaches testing with precision and attention to detail. The ideal candidate works closely with cross-functional teams and ensures software meets defined business and user expectations through thorough validation. 

Your responsibilities

  • Own the functional quality of assigned features and releases. 
  • Validate business requirements through structured manual testing and clear feedback. 
  • Ensure delivered functionality meets acceptance criteria and user expectations.
  • Design, maintain, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios using Azure Test Plans.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring high-quality and reproducible bug reports. 
  • Validate data integrity using PostgreSQL queries. 
  • Verify end-to-end data flows across system components. 
  • Maintain test documentation, including test plans and test cases. 
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and practices. 

Optional / Advanced (ML-Focused) responsibilities

  • QA validation of non‑LLM ML models. 
  • Run and analyze local inference. 
  • Support ML test strategy (data quality, output consistency, drift). 

Requirements

  • Passion for space and software 
  • Min. 3 years of experience in manual software testing. 
  • Experience working in a startup or similarly fast-growing environment. 
  • Solid knowledge of software testing methodologies and test design techniques.
  • Hands-on experience testing REST APIs (Postman, Bruno, or similar tools). 
  • Understanding HTTP methods, status codes, and request/response structures. 
  • Practical SQL skills (PostgreSQL preferred). 
  • Proficiency with browser DevTools. 
  • Experience with Azure Test Plans or equivalent test management tools. 
  • Strong defect reporting and tracking skills. 
  • Professional approach, independence, initiative, and strong commitment to quality. 
  • Good command of English for cross-team communication and working with technical documentation. 

Huge advantage

  • Experience testing non-LLM machine learning models. 
  • Hands-on experience with running inference on a local machine. 

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies. 
  • Higher education (Bachelor’s degree or higher). 
  • Basic knowledge of security testing (e.g. Burp Suite or similar tools). 
  • Basic scripting skills (Python, C#, or PowerShell). 

Terms & benefits

  • Remote work model (occasional visits at HQ in Bydgoszcz/Zielonka).    
  • Compensation: PLN 9,000-14,000 gross/month (UoP), depending on experience and skills.
