Sybilla Technologies designs builds and operates robotic optical observatories for monitoring objects in space. The company specializes in the complete systems, software for automated data acquisition, analysis, and scheduling of networks of sensors. We work in the domains of Space Situational Awareness, Space Surveillance and Tracking, Space Traffic Management, Near Earth Objects, stellar and planetary research, education, and commercial on-demand observations.

Your Responibilities

  • Develop release plans, schedules, and timelines for software releases, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.  
  • Oversee and coordinate the end-to-end release process, including planning, testing, deployment, and post-release activities.  
  • Work closely with development, quality assurance, operations, and product management teams to ensure successful releases.  
  • Maintain and update release documentation, including release notes, deployment guides, and rollback procedures.  
  • Track release progress, identify potential risks, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.  
  • Ensure that all releases meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.  
  • Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline release processes.  
  • Identify and resolve release-related issues and roadblocks in a timely manner to minimize impact on project timelines.  
  • Continuously evaluate and improve release management processes, tools, and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.  
  • Work with external vendors and partners as necessary to manage third-party components and integrations.  
  • Conduct post-release reviews and retrospectives to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.  
  • Oversee the configuration and management of release environments, ensuring they are aligned with production settings.  

Requirements

  • Higher education in engineering or STEM (bachelor or master – preferred)  
  • Proven experience as a Release Manager, Project Manager, or a similar role in software development.  
  • Experience with release management processes, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and agile methodologies.  
  • Proficiency in release management tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Jira, Azure DevOps).  
  • Solid understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).  
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.  
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).  
  • Ability to identify and mitigate technical risks.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.  
  • Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.  
  • Very good command of the English language in writing and speech (candidate should be able to read and write technical documentation).

Terms of employment

  • Remote employment model (Bydgoszcz/Zielonka) – occasional visits. 
  • Permanent employment contract. 
  • Salary: 18000 – 26000 PLN gross, depending on your experience and qualifications. 
  • The candidate will be offered compensation relative to his/her experience and skills.   
  • The candidate will have a specialist assigned as a mentor during the initial weeks of employment.   
  • The candidate will have an advisor for selection and monitoring of career development paths.   
  • Private medical care and Multisport on FTE.
