Sybilla Technologies designs builds and operates robotic optical observatories for monitoring objects in space. The company specializes in the complete systems, software for automated data acquisition, analysis, and scheduling of networks of sensors. We work in the domains of Space Situational Awareness, Space Surveillance and Tracking, Space Traffic Management, Near Earth Objects, stellar and planetary research, education, and commercial on-demand observations.

Your Responibilities

  • Designing, developing, testing, and managing CI/CD pipelines to facilitate smooth code integration, testing, and seamless deployment. 
  • Ensuring the availability, scalability, security, and efficient release management of our proprietary platform, including software services, processing, control, and storage IT infrastructure. 
  • Swiftly responding to platform incidents by troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective fixes. 
  • Maintaining high availability and optimal performance of services, databases, control systems, processing units, and servers through IT and software expertise and innovative solutions. 
  • Creating and updating technical documentation, including operational manuals, FAQs, checklists, and procedures. 
  • Safeguarding the safety and security of our IT infrastructure. 
  • Continuously enhancing operational excellence through ongoing learning and professional development. 
  • Occasionally traveling to remote sites to install, repair, or upgrade IT infrastructure (if required). 
  • Participating in on-call duties during weekends (one weekend per month, with two days off during the month). 
  • Managing a team of IT professionals, including task allocation, performance management, coaching, and mentoring. 
  • Efficiently handling IT tickets by prioritizing, assigning, clarifying, and closing them in collaboration with the team. 

Requirements

  • Higher education in information technology, computer science, IT systems management or other related fields (at least bachelor’s degree).  
  • Previous experience in managing team. 
  • 3 years of C# programming involving SQL databases and services.  
  • 3 years of PowerShell scripting.  
  • 5 years working with Windows desktop and server systems.  
  • 3 years working with Docker.  
  • Proven previous experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, Software Engineer, or similar role.  
  • In-depth knowledge of computer systems.  
  • Track record on supporting complex operational software.  
  • Ability to diagnose complex platform (software and IT) problems.  
  • Problem solving skills.  
  • Very good command of English language in writing and speech (candidate should be able to read and write technical documentation).  
  • Good communication skills.  
  • Driving license, cat. B. 

Nice to Have

  • Python scripting.  
  • Experience with Grafana.  
  • Experience with Azure (Active Directory, code building pipelines).  
  • Experience with updates of global distributed, remote systems (limited bandwidth and network stability).

  • Hybrid employment model (Bydgoszcz/Zielonka) – regular visits  
  • The candidate will be offered compensation relative to his/her experience and skills.
